A copy editor often helps organize the data into tables and provide tables to make the text easier to read. Now we're getting a little less general. It's important to understand that I'm talking about an “acquisition editor,” and not a “copy editor.” A copy editor works to provide an accurate and understandable copy for an author, but has little to do with an author's idea for an idea/title/title page. The process I described as a copy editor is for a title page (e-book), and doesn't apply to an actual copy edit. Now, a lot of my readers are probably asking how I came out on a lot of the books I've been given. The answer, quite simply; I wrote the thing I was asked to write.
