I have the right example to quote here. The cutoff for CPT i.e List 3 was 539/700 for SSC CGL 2018. I had my name in List- 3 and 4 with a total of 542/700. And here, I am writing this as a jobless since the cutoff for the last post was around 548. (I was very well aware that there are no chances of my selection but still, I attended the DV and the same is advisable for everyone who has got their name on the lists.) And I am still not able to make out the fact why is there even a list 4. Please do let me know its significance.

Update (11 August) After an extended stay and being kept busy at college for the other work I wanted to do, I got the opportunity to go to the DV for SSC CGL 2019. It was a little too late for CGL 2018, but I went to get my name in CGL 2019. All of them were CGL 2018 candidates plus some DSP candidates were also there because I had got my name in List 3 of the DV last Friday. A total of 2134 candidates have attended the DV. There are 1712 vacancies in List 3 and there are 1399 candidates in List 4. I had a total of 7095 names in List 3. It appears at this point there are no more places for me at the Indian Overseas Employment Services (IONS) as the job vacancies have gone down from 1250 to 900 and the IONS job advertisement itself.
