If I write a book, but don't publish it on Amazon or get a publisher and just put it as a PDF on the internet, is that still officially publishing it?
I think it’s publishing it - but I’m not sure it’s officially publishing it. There is a difference, although it’s true that these days - with online publishing in full flow - the distinction is reducing. I think that makes it official under the law (although I could be wrong about that).
